Baltic amber has been an amazing resource for me as a mamma for over 16 years now- I was first introduced to these necklaces because of my twin daughters, Mia + Zoë, and wanting another source of natural pain relief during teething to accompany my herbal extract that I made them. Knowing that Baltic amber has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for pain relief, I felt confident these would be the solution I needed.  After doing extensive research and finding a reputable supplier of authentic amber, I decided to invest in these. It made a world of difference and so I always suggest these when a baby is teething. These necklaces are helpful for headaches and neck pain also. 

How these work

Baltic amber contains succinic acid. When worn, body heat warms up the amber and thus, succinic acid is absorbed through the skin.  Some properties of succinic acid are:

• anti-inflammatory,
• immune boosting,
• antioxidant-rich
• calming and soothing

These are not meant to be chewed on- but worn around the neck, which is the closest location to the mouth. They are fine to get wet, but not soaked/with soap. It is in the best interest of caring for Baltic amber to be removed during bathing and swimming. It is recommended to remove during sleep- my family personally chose to leave them on around the clock as I felt comfortable with the fit and no obstructions in sleeping area to be caught on. The baby/child necklaces are individually hand-knotted between each bead should it break, it won’t scatter all over the place and provide choking hazard.
